Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: With education at the heart of its mission, Smiley Children Society continues to make a positive impact on the lives of children from economically disadvantaged families through a series of community-driven initiatives. Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, the organization has remained committed to ensuring that every child has access to quality education, academic support, and opportunities for personal growth.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society has steadily expanded its activities across Andhra Pradesh through its headquarters in Mandapeta and branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). The organization works closely with educators, volunteers, parents, and local communities to promote educational inclusion and child welfare.
One of the society’s most impactful programs focuses on assisting children from low-income families in securing admission to government schools. Volunteers conduct awareness campaigns, identify children who are not enrolled, guide parents through documentation, and coordinate with school authorities to make the admission process simple and accessible.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the valuable contribution made by Smiley Children Society in supporting schools and increasing student enrollment.
Founder Prudhvi Moses said the organization’s work is driven by the belief that education has the power to transform lives.
“Every child deserves an opportunity to learn and achieve their dreams. When communities come together to support education, we create a stronger future not only for children but for society as a whole. Our volunteers are committed to ensuring that no deserving child is left behind,” he said.
To further strengthen educational outcomes, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara, where students receive additional academic guidance in a supportive environment. The classes help improve subject knowledge, examination preparedness, and overall confidence among children who may not have access to private tutoring.
Understanding the importance of children’s overall well-being, the organization also provides free dinner after each tuition session. This initiative supports students’ nutritional needs while reducing financial pressure on their families, enabling children to focus more effectively on their education.
Beyond these programs, Smiley Children Society actively advocates for innovation in early childhood education. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and schools to introduce activity-based learning, storytelling, creative classroom exercises, and interactive teaching methods that make education enjoyable and meaningful for young learners.
The organization also supports educational institutions by donating learning materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids whenever possible, helping schools create better learning environments.
As Smiley Children Society looks toward the future, it remains committed to expanding its educational initiatives, strengthening volunteer participation, and collaborating with more schools and communities across Andhra Pradesh. Through its continued efforts, the organization is helping build a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and contribute positively to society.
